Thailand Foreword

My name is Ian Donovan and I am a second year pharmacy student at the University of Arizona! I chose to embark on this journey because I've alway had a fascination for traveling. The world is so vast and the majority of my life has often been spent in one place - Arizona. I seek any chance I get to experience other cultures and witness firsthand the beautiful landscapes of other environments. I also would love to observe the pharmacy practice in a completely different culture. Professionally, I am most looking forward to identifying any variations between the responsibilities of a pharmacist in Thailand compared to a pharmacist in America, specifically in a hospital setting. Personally, I am most excited about enjoying the variety of different foods available in Thailand, such as all the delicious curries with coconut cream. The other major interest of mine is experiencing the beautiful and green scenery that is so abundant in Thailand due to the warm and humid climate that allows ecosystems to thrive. My only real concerns are dealing with mosquitos and overcoming language barriers. I expect to lather myself in DEET and will start downloading language translation applications for my phone now!
